At Evensong at 19h00 on the Sundays in Lent the Sermons will invite us to Encounter Jesus in the context of our daily life, the midst of the society and culture in which we live and in this year of the 160th anniversary of the Cathedral's foundation.

Drawing on Jesus' High-Priestly Prayer in the seventeenth chapter of John's Gospel, The Reverend Judith Kotze will explore the implications of our Encountering Jesus in the light of our heritage, our present witness and our vision for the future. We will seek to discover the power of living as those who are 'in Christ,' who have been made a 'new creation' in Christ. Here are lessons to support us as we seek to confront our challenges, today, here and now, in the power of Christ's victory.
